Wow! First let me say I am sorry for the extended absence between posts. But, a lot is happening within this ministry! Praise God!
Our Waiting Mom's Group has moved! We are now meeting at All About Cha on 33rd and Broadway in Edmond. So, if you are looking for a great group of women who know what it's like to wonder if every phone call you receive...might...just might be "the one" then come join us! Those of you who are waiting, you know what I'm talking about. All the women in this group are either currently waiting to be matched, or have been through the process. Ever considered visiting a foster child/infant in the hospital? Well, maybe you haven't, but now you can! Engaging the Fatherless is sponsoring a training offered by DHS to allow you to rock babies, read books to infants, or simply spend time with foster children who need an adult to be with them. The training will be on Thursday, December 2nd from 6-8 pm. We will meet at Henderson Hills Baptist Church in the Preschool Room P114-P115. You can email jlee@hhbc.com to find out more information. This is a great way to invest time and share some love with a child in the Oklahoma foster care.
Speaking of foster care...are you currently a family who is either in the process of fostering a child, or have a child/children in your home? We have a Foster Care support group meeting that will help encourage you along this journey. If you would like more information on this support group you can email millardkbme@yahoo.com.
